LAFLA provides legal services to the underserved population through its five legal offices and clinics. Their services include evictions, employment benefits and rights, family, community housing and economic development, veterans` advocacy, government benefits, immigration and student loans. For 85 years, the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA) has been the law firm for low-income people in Los Angeles. LAFLA is committed to promoting access to justice, strengthening communities, fighting poverty and creating systemic change through representation, advocacy and community building. LAFLA`s more than 120 employees provide a full range of free legal assistance, including defense against wrongful evictions, obtaining protection orders, child custody and key immigration facilities to stabilize vulnerable families, obtaining essential government benefits and medical care, combating wrongful dismissal and wage theft, protecting veterans and their families, and supporting access to and maintenance of affordable housing.
